If any of you have noticed, I added a new catagory on the side bar called "Poetic Duets".
I was taking a walk today,(I had spent the entire day watching Vandread and Vandread Second Stage, I watched the whole thing, thats about 11 Hours worth of Anime), and along the walk, the name just sorta popped into my head.
Speaking of Walking (a little off tangent), its been a little bit over a month since I last took a random walk. Today was the perfect day to walk, I also choose the perfect time too. It wasn't really sunset yet, the light was still yellow compared to an orangish look. There was a slight breeze so I wasn't to hot or to cold. It's surprising how many people are out an about in the neighbor hood, I've never seen so many people outside of their homes in this neighborhood.
Anyway...
So what's Poetic Duets? It's a new idea I came up with, kinda like Foreign Verse. Lately, I've been spurring out random titles (such as Moonstruck) and I've been giving them to Midoriryu and asking her to write a poem using that title as the basis of the poem. We would then compare the poems and see if they are some what in anyway close to each other. We also have written another one called Painting Red, which you will see later on.
I also thought of something else on the way home from the walk. What if, I not only had Midoriryu as my "partner"? Could I not ask someone else such as Momoryu? Hakuryu? Murasakiryu? Or even someone else who wasn't even a poet to "duet" with me? I thought that was a brilliant idea, so if I ever ask you to write a poem for me called "blah blah blah" then it's probaby because I'm gonna duet with you and compare.
Then, quickly after that thought, I thought of something else. Why keep it to myself? Wouldn't it be nice if I helped create another bond between people by having them Duet as well? Not just with me, but with different people as well. For example, Momoryu and Daidairyu could write a "duet" and I could post it on my site as a duet and recognize them as partners. Anyone with anyone would work.
So I encourage everyone out there, find some sort of inspiration for a title. You can find one most anywhere. TV, Bookstore, or school, you name it, you can find an inspiring title for a poem. And if you care to share, inform me and I'll acknowledge you and your partner as "Poetic Duos"
